Gary Arndt is running for re-election as Franklin Town Justice. With 15 years of experience serving as Franklin Town Justice under his belt, Gary provides proven and experienced leadership with a strong commitment to the Franklin community. In his position statement, Gary said, “I will continue to strive to be a fair and compassionate Justice for the Town of Franklin. My deep experience as Town Justice and prior career as an NYPD Police Officer mean that I am well versed in the law and fully prepared to serve a new 4-year term with immediate effect. I take my responsibilities very seriously and carefully consider both sides of every case in my decisions and enforcing laws and regulations. I have been a Franklin resident and property owner for 41 years and I believe I have a strong understanding of and feel for the community’s needs and concerns.”

- Franklin resident for 41 years; native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, NY
- Married to wife Suzanne
- Proudly served our country with active duty in US Marine Corps and USMC Reserves
- Retired NYPD Police Officer in Emergency Services Special Operations Division
- Attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice for 2 years
- Received numerous citations and decorations for arrests and police actions
- Assisted on site in World Trade Center search and recovery mission after 9/11
- Strong and enduring relationships with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police
- Appointed Special Deputy by the Delaware County Sheriff’s office; served circa 2000 to 2006
- Provided active on-site assistance in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, working with Roxbury Constable Steve Williamson and National Fraternal Order of Police
- As Special Deputy, also served as Community Services Officer
